Bellcrank Limit Stops

Applying full Up or Down will rotate the bellcrank to a structural limit (best), or to a control surface limit (worse).

Install bellcrank limit stops to prevent undue strain to the control system. The stops limit the travel of the bellcrank arms.

Two small pieces of wood, firmly glued to each side of the bellcrank mounts will limit maximum travel and reduce stress on the remaining components. Note the bellcrank rotation angle at full deflection, then insert them so that the bellcrank stops slightly short of that angle.

This specific application is in an ARC Vector 40 and utilizes a Brodak black plastic 4" bellcrank.
