A. No.

Q. What interests you in control line?
A. The association with other like-minded members. The casual luncheons after the flying sessions and especially the Annual Christmas Banquet are great!

Q. What is your favourite memory of flying?
A. Attending some of the Eugene,Oregon Contests with other PAC members including Barb & Larry, Ken & Linda Burton in 1990!  Our daughter, Michelle, age 12, was with us at that time. We had a great Sunday Buffet Dinner at the Lion King Motor Inn in Springfield,Oregon.

Q. Do you build your own models?
A. No.

Q. What is your favourite model?
A. Any plane with wings & an engine!

Q. What was your most spectacular crash?
A. In 1988 - Ken Burton convinced me to fly an old D-Bat at the Rice Mill Site in the Grass Area on the West Side adjacent to the ditch. After a few laps I tried a couple of loops.  I apparently wandered a few yards - and executed a remarkable outside loop & landing - guess where? ---Yep in the ditch--- Ken retrieved the plane - no damage!

Q. Have you ever participated in any competitions? If yes, which ones?
A. One day "the boys" convinced Barb Bell, Angela Bell and I to have a "Sport Race" with the three of us in the middle and Lyn Murray "agreed to stand near us & supervise the race"!   ----Well --somehow after 10 laps --Lyn Murray learned a valuable lesson - never tell a Lady where to go --- or where to fly --Lyn gave up!!! But we had fun anyway & survived the ordeal --- no thanks to Lyn.  ---- The spectators were thoroughly entertained --- and I can still hear them laughing to this day!!!!!!!!!!

Q. How did you start in control line? Who got you started in control line?
A.If you marry a control liner you eventually have to Learn to fly.

Q. What advice would you give someone who wanted to try control line?
A. Just marry a control line modeler - be sure to take an interest in the hobby & your marriage will last forever!  But accept that the modeler's hobby will always take precedence over you !!!!
