Sun. Sept. 14 - Optional Rain Date for Carrier & NWSR Contest

More information will be added as it becomes available.

As it was, with low attendance - we were nonetheless able to test the deck after a full recent restoration.  Barrie Shandel was able to complete a very successful flight with his Carrier Ship and was able to catch the cable on the second lap. Larry Bell managed several flights off the deck with his Curtiss, and also had two very good flights with his P38 Lightening which featured
two Fox 15 BB Schneurle engines including a couple of very good  touch-n-go's but at full speed as he did not have throttle control on that particular model. The two Foxes sounded really good at full bore, and the P-38 flew very well.
It appears that we are seeing increasing interest in Scale Flying - in both clubs - so we are looking forward to an interesting season in 2015.  PAC will be looking at atleast one Profile Scale Contest plus developing interest in the Carrier Event now that we have a restored carrier deck.   Personally, I worked until 2:00 a.m. Sun. Installing the arrester hook mechanism on my profile Mustang, but having installed a new O.S. 15 FP. - I passed on my Carrier flight  with the mustang and opted to do a 70 lap Cold Start / single pit stop run with Larry pitting,  with the Sport Racer( new Fox 35) turning a time of 5 min. 11 secs.on a rich (break-in) setting.   - winter project may include a new N.W.S. Racer for the newly eligible O.S. 25 L.A.

I would add that  Dennis Matthews  assisted by his Crew,  did a great job in restoring  the carrier deck, as we know that there was substantial work required.  We also need to recognize Larry Bell who secured new tires and wheels
which were a very important part of the restoration
