Today - Sunday, May 26, was our first club "fun fly" at Clayburn Village Park. The wind was calm enough to fly 1/2 A and the temp was as warm as the camaraderie and cool enough to provide comfortable flying.
Barrie S. and Larry B. were setting the MAAC safety features when I arrived with Paul B. right after me. Barrie had the honour of the first flight of the year on his Nobler. Paul was next up with his Nobler - and yes he did give me a bad time about how little I said about his flying in my previous rant. Denis C. flew his 1/2 A (8oz) Corsair demonstrating the full PA pattern on 46 foot lines. Henry flew his Flyte Streak twice! - It is nice to see him fly and hopefully with him having more free time it will happen more often. I flew the blue Eureka and will make a second post to discuss it (so get on your thinking caps). Jack O., Larry & Barb B. were joined on the sidelines by former member Paul D. It was nice to see all of them.
Now - the results - Barrie is flying a very nice pattern, Paul had problems with the Nobler but had a good day with his Kaos and Henry had the typical end of winter dizzies. All in all a good day was had by all. Thank you for being there. Larry L.
