Today was a good day!
I got down to the field about 10:20 to see Paul B. and Barrie S. were just finishing the field setup. Got everything out and realized that I had left things at home - 20 min. later - I was ready to fly. Barrie had put up a flight on his Oriental while i was gone.
Barrie, Paul and I started a rotation that stood up until Gord S. (G2) of the Mission Wings and Denis C. VGMC showed up and the yakking started and the flying didn't.
I had brought my build project, the Eureka, with the hopes that Denis would be there as it is his design and I did wish him to see it and get his approval. I think he liked it. As we were walking back to the vehicles I noticed my truck door was open - what the heck! is someone trying to steal something - it turned out to be Kathy, my wife, an unexpected pleasant surprise.
Henry came along about 1:00 and the "serious" flying started. Barrie has the overhead 8s sorted out, Paul is working out his kinks in the "Old Time" pattern, Henry put in one flight and Gord was flying inverted with outside loops! I got the elusive 5.15 second lap and the full pattern flight time. I got my first complete PA pattern - in one battery - ever with the one lap warning a lap after the cloverleaf. I am VERY happy with my flying!
There was a person and his Yorkie pup visiting, looking for Dennis M. See Den, you have to come play some times.
That was all the excitement! Larry L.
