Sunday, regular club fun-fly at Clayburn Park. I got there just as Barrie S. was getting his Smoothie out of his car.
Barrie put up the first flight and we discussed where he could improve. Even though when your feet are moving and you tend to forget, he was very accurate with his analysis and some of the other things I don't know how to advise him on but we are getting there! On subsequent flights I realized he as flying the overhead 8s wrong. I think he may already have that in hand.
I was up next wit the 5.2 second lap, that was just too slow, any air made the handle feel too light but it flew the full pattern time. Bump the rpm up, try again, too fast, 4 75 laps and the battery didn't last, then 4.85 but the battery almost lasted then 4.95 with the battery lasting. I still would like to go slower, maybe 5.1. I am happy with most of my flying, getting lower and smoother.
Denis C. arrived as I started my first flight but with the jeering from the "peanut Gallery" I knew who it was. Always good to see him. Henry H. and Arlene got there about 12:30 and even Jack O. arrived about the time we started packing up. By now it was TOO HOT. Next Clayburn day is in 2 weeks. Larry L.
