Clayburn Park Fun-fly, August 28.

Got to Larry B.’s place about 9:50 to pick up the club’s safety equipment only to be told that Barrie S. and Larry had already set it up.  Got to the field to find Barrie “playing” with a new tablet having gotten his Nobler ready to fly.  Barrie and I swapped flights until Hube S. arrived when he joined the rotation.

During one of Hube’s flights I noticed that Thane was watching.  He is helping Larry through the summer but I was unable to talk him into trying flying.  Henry H., Larry B. and Jack O. arrived soon after.  We continued the rotation until Henry had his Flite Streak ready to fly.  At this point he talked Larry into taking the handle.  I had, by this time, used 3 batteries and put in the contentious one that balked in Edmonton – no problem – so I took off.  The flight ended slightly before I had expected – I flew it inverted under full power into the ground with no apparent damage.  Funny part, I don’t feel stressed out about it.  Hube made one last flight before we packed it in and gathered the safety equipment with the threat of rain.

All had good uneventful flights, no new kits and positive feedback on all airtime.  Consensus is that I am flying better with my “pullouts” at the desired levels.  Thanks to Paul G. and Alan W.
