  • Clayburn Community Park

Well, I went down to the field to check the condition.   It rained early this morning so the grass was wet, wetter than I would like as I fly electric and have lost an ESC to wet grass before.  On a second trip down the wind was quite gusty.

But as no one was there I guess it didn't matter.  I hope Henry's endurance attempt went better than this.

I checked the field today, May 21, - the grass is cut short enough.  A grass rake might be useful as the cut grass was left on the field.  At this point the rain is to hold off until the PM.

FLYING DATES:

The flying dates are as follows:

SECOND AND FOURTH SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH, MAY THROUGH OCTOBER (no more than 12 days total)

(NO RAIN-OUT DATES).

In the event another group wishes to rent the park for a large event, then any of the above dates could be cancelled by CVCS.

In the interest of maintaining the lowest possible sound levels during rental periods, the Club must adopt a noise control program while operating flying models at Clayburn Park.  All aircraft will be subject to sound metering at all times. Aircraft that exceed limits deemed acceptable to the Village will be prevented from flying again until they can meet a noise level consistent with the requirements of Village residents. If an aircraft is deemed unable to meet the lower noise requirement, it will not be operated at Clayburn Park.

Visitors to field – will be able to fly twice and then we have to bill them 20.00 per each family
