PAC Annual General Meeting

Election of officers will be held. If you wish to nominate someone for a position, please call or email me. I will be calling all those up for re-election to ask if they will be willing to stand.

Positions for 2016:

President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, 2 positions for 2 year Member at large.

President Larry Bell has indicated he is willing to stand, and I will stand as Secretary/Treasurer. The 2 Members at Large who are up for renewal are Jack Oster and Joe Yau.

The 2 Members at Large who have 1 year remaining are Paul Bedford and Henry Hajdik.

Synopsis of Annual General Meeting

Time to Order: 7:28pm

Roll Call of Officers: all present except Jack Oster

Minutes of Previous Meetings: M/S/C to accept as read

Reports of Officers:

Dennis: If you are thinking of moving, don`t call me for help, busy opening stuff!

Henry: Regarding Endurance – new rules accepted – on the Balsa Beaver`s website, Henry has copies. In co-operation with VGMC - Western Canada Nostalgia Stunt – pattern flows much better and easier to fly. Henry has copies of this as well.

Paul: Storage space found for carrier deck at Mission Wings flying site.

Barb: Financial report given.

Larry: Thanks to Larry Lewin for keeping noise records at Clayburn – may help with the Clayburn Committee. BCIT will have an open house in 2016 – control line only – club support will be needed. UAV – unmanned aerial vehicles - MAAC has a committee looking at this in conjunction with Transport Canada and BCIT. Air Maintenance Update Magazine has an article called the Maynard Hill story – Flight of the Catbird.

New Business:

Christmas Banquet – Dec. 5th – Ricky’s Country Restaurant – Hwy 10 and 192nd – 6:00 pm. Invitation to be sent to VGMC to join us.

PAC will apply for a sanction for an Endurance event possibly in April 2016. Since there are new rules, all flights could wind up being a new record.

Carrier event – tentatively May 1st at Rice Mill.

Vice President: Dennis Matthews – Re-elected by acclamation

Secretary/Treasurer: Barb Bell – Re-elected by acclamation

Members at Large:

 Henry and Paul have 1 year remaining. 

Nominated for 2 year terms – Hube Start, accepted and Joe Yau – declined, would like 1 year term. At this point no other nominations. Paul Bedford resigned his 1 year term and ran for a 2 year term instead, leaving 1 year remaining on his term.  Joe ran for the 1 year term.

1 year term: Henry and Joe

2year term: Paul and Hube

Winner of 50/50 draw of $26.00 was Larry Lewin.
