Come out and join us for some fun and flying at Clayburn Park!

In order to continue being good corporate citizens we will conduct noise readings an all planes flown.

"I hope EVERYONE realizes the constant risk of losing the field forever. We need to be together on this!"
Larry B. Pres.

Please let Barb know if you are coming and how many will be attending. Hot Dogs or Hamburgers (or possibly both) may be served.   Rain Date: September 27th.

My bad - there was to be NO meeting.

It was a "typical Rice Mill day" according to Barrie - partly cloudy but  windy.
We had a good turnout, I guess it was the promise of food that brought them.  Henry, Larry B., Barrie, Jack, Paul B., Hube, Bob, and myself all were there.  Jack didn't fly.
Bob Flew his Jamison and is finally sorting out his fuel problems, cleaned all venturies, fuel lines, tanks and bought new fuel.
Barrie had several nice flights on his JJ's Critter.  I was pleasantly surprised at how close the sound readings were between the tongue muffler was to the stock mufflers.  I had thought that with the tongue muffler they would be a lot louder.
Larry B. flew 2 planes from the Ken Burton "collection".  After some needle valve problems he had several successful flights - one even included a cloverleaf.
Henry got in 1 uneventful flight.
Hube had motor problems - almost unheard of with him and his 4 strokes.
I finally did test flights on my Potykarpov I 16 and the Mig 3 "Almost 1/2A" planes.  The Mig flew quite nicely and will be a fine flyer after being tuned but the short coupled Potykarpov was a handfull.  I won't give up on it but it might become a "hanger queen"

The BBQ and the banter was enjoyed by all.
